Abstract: The emerging beyond 5G/6G networks come with novel, latency-sensitive and computation- ntensive applications that require en- hanced network performance and infrastructure to meet he expected quality of experience for end users. To cope with this challenge, compu- tation offloading…
Abstract: A proactive approach could bring several advantages in network operations to meet the increasingly strict requirements (e.g., in terms of latency, reliability) of emerging applications (e.g., XR-VR, xURLLC). This paper describes a flexible forecasting platform that provides estimates of…
Abstract—This paper investigates the performance of scalable user-centric (UC) distributed massive multiple-input multipleoutput (D-mMIMO) systems, widely known in the literature as cell-free mMIMO, with limited processing capacity. Specifically, it is assumed that the computational complexity (CC) of performing channel estimation…
Abstract—Beyond fifth-generation (B5G) networks (namely 6G) aim to support high data rates, low-latency applications, and massive machine communications. Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models are essential for addressing the network’s increasing complexity and dynamic nature. However, dynamic…
ABSTRACT Trials and deployments of sixth Generation (6G) wireless networks, delivering extreme capacity, reliability, and efficiency, are expected as early as 2030. Attempts from both industry and academia are trying to define the next generation network infrastructure. 6G will set…
Abstract—Marine debris is considered as a global problem and a major threat to the ecosystem and its inhabitants. To address this issue, it is important to identify these densely polluted areas inside the sea and most importantly at the seabed.…
Abstract—The sixth generation (6G) of mobile communications, expected to be deployed around the year 2030, is predicted to be characterized by ubiquitous connected intelligence. With Artificial Intelligence (AI) operations being deployed in every aspect of future network infrastructure, network security…
Abstract—The growing heterogeneity and decentralization in the modern computing paradigm of edge-cloud continuum introduces new constraints on storage systems, such as storage type, associated processors, privacy, scarce resources, compliance, GDPR and geographical restrictions. While existing distributed data and object stores…
